Central intention to set up a tribunal on the pretext of sharing South Pinakini river water

Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has made a serious allegation that the central government is going to take away the rights of Kannadigas in the matter of Dakshina Pinakini river water.

The central BJP government's decision to set up a new tribunal on the South Pinakini river water issue is virtually a death sentence for the state.

He tweeted a series of tweets saying that the state BJP government should oppose this without hesitation.

Karnataka has been in conflict for a century over the Cauvery dispute. The Narendra Modi government is still fueling the goat-raiding controversy and is counting on fish to give permission to the project. He said that even then, the BJP government has tried to tie the legal noose for the state in the Pinakini river issue.

The Center is trying to take away the water rights of South Pinakini River from Karnataka for political reasons. Just as Kaveri, Krishna, Mahadai have been troubling Karnataka in various water disputes, this is the scenario that is troubling the Kannadigas by pushing Dakshina Pinakini, which is not a dispute at all, into the pit of controversy.
